I traveled to The Gambia, Africa for a week helping to provide medical care. I do OBGYN sonography here at home, and had the opportunity to serve the Lord in this capacity while there. This was my 2nd trip with GHO to the Gambia and it is always quite life changing. It’s a reminder to be so grateful for what we have here in the U.S. It’s a reminder that the love of Jesus has no borders including country, language, skin color, or economic class. If you’re contemplating a medical mission trip, GO. Acts 2:8 calls us as Christians to take his gospel to the ends of the earth. This is exactly what mission is for. Yes, we provide temporary medical care. But really, it’s the everlasting spiritual change that’s what’s important.
